Genetic differences for that touch of pain

NewScientist.com ran a story about how “a tiny variation in a single gene [affects] the way people withstand pain - both physical and emotional.”

Babylon 5 RPG coming!

On one of the game industry boards I frequent, Mongoose Publishing just announced that they’re going to be releasing a new, D20-based RPG for Babylon 5!

No mention of it on their website yet, but you can read all about it at GamingReport.com.

We pause for a word from our sponsors

All kids love Log!

What rolls down stairs
Alone or in pairs
Rolls over your neighbor’s dog?

What’s great for a snack
And fits on your back?
It’s Log, Log, Log!

It’s Lo-og, Lo-og,
It’s big, it’s heavy, it’s wood.
It’s Lo-og, Lo-og,
It’s better than bad, it’s good!

Everyone wants a Log,
You’re gonna love it, Log
Come on and get your Log,
Everyone needs a Log…

LOG, from BLAMMO!

SFX asked Joss Whedon (you do know who Joss is, right?) 100 questions.

He answered them.

Slayage.com reposted them.

You will now go read them.

And thus do we each contribute to the Circle of Life.

Even more Cartoon Network+Star Wars coverage

The official Star Wars site has their own story up about the new partnership/alliance/thing.

Two words about the effort that, to me, indicate it will kick much ass: Genndy Tartakovsky!
