From Cinescape:

Published by Tri Synergy, the new PC video game allows you to play as Michael Knight, the role that launched David Hasselhoff’s career and that still gives Germans joy. More A Sound of Thunder news

Friday, March 28th, 2003

Sci-Fi Wire has a brief interview with Ed Burns, who’s one of the stars of the forthcoming A Sound of Thunder movie.

Burns plays Dr. Travis Ryer, a guide with Time Safari Inc., a company owned by Charles Hatton (Ben Kingsley), which uses time-travel technology to enable its clientele to hunt for dinosaurs in the past. When rules are broken and the future is altered, Ryer must team with Sonia Rand (Catherine McCormack), creator of the time-travel technology, to save the day. [more]

They’re apparently taking more than a little dramatic license with the short story, but that’s pretty much a necessary given to flesh it out to movie-length.

Oh, and just in case you missed it above and in my original mention, it also has Catherine McCormack of Dangerous Beauty fame! W00t!

Vegas Status Report

Wednesday, March 19th, 2003

Here I am in my hotel room in Vegas typing away to all my peeps. That’s how big a geek I am. ;-)

The GTS has been pretty good so far. Swag’s a lot lighter than in previous years, and we have to stand in too many lines for the special meetings and dinners (apparently the convention staff pre-estimated this year’s attendance about 40% too low — this con is packed.

Saw George Carlin perform at the MGM Grand on Monday night. Funny stuff.

I’m going to keep this short since I’m typing away on the world’s worst keyboard that the hotel has so thoughtfully provided for use with their in-room Internet. (Grr. Argh.)

No! This is not the Catwoman I ordered!

Friday, March 14th, 2003

Halle Berry is a great actress, but she’s not who I want to see play Catwoman.

(In case you’ve forgotten, I want to see a certain redhead play the feline fatale.)

You have a dominant kiss- you take charge and make sure your partner can feel it! Done artfully, it can be very satisfactory if he/she is into you playing the dominant role. MRROW!

Take the quiz.
