Heading off to San Diego tonight for the San Diego Comic-Con (aka Comic-Con International)!
That means there likely won’t be any updates (such as the Friday Five) until next week.
To my legions of adoring fans: I shall return.
Not a good movie, but hella fun. Well worth seeing at a matinee. Peta Wilson rocked; Sean Connery was a parody of his earlier roles.

Yo yo yo, F-5 is in the hizouse: http://www.fridayfive.org/
1. Do you remember your first best friend? Who was it?
I remember the first one I called a “best friend” was a kid in my kindergarten class named Bosco. The first real “best friend” I had was a kid named Chris Devore back in Ohio in fourth and the first part of fifth grade.
2. Are you still in touch with this person?
Nope. Bosco and I drifted apart due to different interests: I wanted to pursue a path of playground swing supremacy; he wanted to eat paste. (No, not really. We were kids. I moved away.)
And I’ve long since lost touch with Chris Devore. Tried calling him on his birthday the year after I moved from Ohio to California, but never got a hold of him.
3. Do you have a current close friend?
I’m blessed with several close friends. In the order I met them: Scott, Jason, Noelle
4. How did you become friends with this person?
Scott lived two doors down from me in Mission Viejo.
Jason sat behind me in Algebra II my freshman year.
Noelle was in my Model United Nations class my senior year.
5. Is there a friend from your past that you wish you were still in contact with? Why?
There are a few. I’ve mentioned several in the past.
[Edit: Had to fix the spelling of hizouse. Repeatedly.]
Mmm….
Peta Wilson.
Peta Wilson as Mina Harker.
Peta Wilson as vampiress Mina Harker.
Says the Aussie ass-kicker: “My Mina Harker is not Winona Ryder’s Mina Harker.”
Wilson in League of Her Own

Were there monkeys?
Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?”
