Going to an interview (finally!) in a couple of minutes. Wish me luck. :-)

Dragon Boat Racing

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2004

Yeah, I know… not a lot of updates the last couple o’ weeks. Sorry; life has been complicated, in some respects, since the move.

Anyway, Ames and I are thinking of heading out to the Dragon Boat Championships and Festival at Lake Merced some time this weekend. (It’s free.)

Anybody from SF/SJ interested in joining us if/when we go?

VOTEorNOT

Tuesday, September 21st, 2004

These guys want everyone to vote this November.

They’re putting up two $100,000 prizes to call attention to their quest.

I’ve signed up. Their process looks to be devoid of third-party spam and it appears to be easy to opt out of their email messages.

If you haven’t signed up, please consider doing so with this link: http://kbz1ab5.VOTEorNOT.org.

If you register through that link and win the $100K, I win a matching $100K prize.

I like matching $100K prizes. :-)

Made it!

Tuesday, September 7th, 2004

Made the trip just fine; took the 12ish hours I expected it to (hard to haul ass when you’re already hauling an assload of boxes of books and a car).

And I had been planning to send out little “here’s my new information” postcard things, but since I suspect I’m Noelle’s He Who Shall Remain Nameless, I’ll be sending some emails shortly. ;-)

More later. Right now I have an infinite number of boxes of crap crammed into my room. The cats think it’s great fun (all sorts of hidey-holes, dontchaknow); I’m eyeballing it and wondering how in the hell I’m gonna make the bed fit.

And I’m off…

A few last-minute things to load (like the computer I’m typing this on) and I’m bound for SF.

I might not have Internet access for a few days, but I’ll try to post something ASAP.
