Interesting side note: The editors of the papers in my company decided today to stop using the term “refugees” and instead stick with just “evacuees” and “victims.” Apparently a bunch of readers objected to the R-word for the people displaced from NOLA.
Personally, I think the R-word is apropos.
those are a lot of pictures. Interesting, esp. reading the comments from other Flickr members. I haven’t seen anything like this on tv.
Nonsense. Refugees come from, like, Rwanda.
This is America. It’s totally different.
